Preachaman TV: The Series That Started It All

Preachaman TV was where it all began. This series is what got us the connections, established our name in the scene, and launched Mancunia Rebél on YouTube and social media.

From 2012 onwards, we documented the underground hip-hop scene in Manchester and beyond, featuring legendary artists, battle rappers, and rising talent. The series captured raw performances, exclusive interviews, and the authentic energy of independent music.

Where Are They Now: Prose

Prose (Mike Murray), who featured in Episode 3, went on to achieve major success. In 2014, he released the EP What If under Virgin Records featuring Emeli Sandé on the track "Headsick", supported by producer Naughty Boy. His 2016 debut album Home of the Brave on Virgin EMI earned radio plays on BBC Radio 1 and XFM, plus TV features on BBC, ITV, and BT Sports.

Known for blending hip-hop with indie and cinematic elements, Prose has been compared to The Streets and Plan B. Later releases include "A City United" - a tribute to victims of the Manchester Arena attack - and collaborations with the Manchester Camerata orchestra. He is now independent again and continues to release music.
